Who am I?

Getting Started...

I worked as the Director of Accountability for the Liberty County School System and have been retired for a year now; during this time I have been blessed to work with schools doing the work that I love ~ school improvement. Since I officially launched my consulting firm, DataPoint Analytics, I have stayed busy and enjoyed this new chapter in my life.  My goal is to set school administrators up for success and ensuring that they don't need me any more. Looking ahead, I am excited to partner with new schools to help them diagnose strengths and weaknesses, drill down to discover where things are broken, and then collaborate on a plan to turn things around. 

I specialize in making data simple and easy to understand for everyone; I have shared data and conducted data digs with board members, parent groups, leadership teams, professional learning communities, and even students. We must know "where we are" before we can plan "where we need to go" and "how we need to get there." I am prepared to oversee data talks with stakeholders and even have a course to help teachers learn how to use data to diagnose problems and prescribe targeted instructional strategies.

I am a trained Learning Styles Specialist. As we fine tune differentiated instruction and begin the transition to Personalized Performanced-Based Learning, a working knowledge of learning styles will become imperative. I can provide teacher workshops followed by job-embedded support. Additionally, I have created an online course for learning styles that is ready to be shared as teachers begin utilizing learning styles in the K-12 classroom.

I am a Reading Specialist; I work with faculties on improving foundational reading skills. We are all focused on Lexiles and I am equipped to help teachers work collaboratively to improve reading comprehension in all content areas.

I look forward to meeting with you and your team as we explore how I can best support System and School Improvement Plans; I accept purchase orders and can be funded through Title I. I am excited to partner with your teams as we pursue excellence in the 2017-2018 school year!
